A new dimension in the (fashion)universe
In March 2014 e-broidery® premiered on the Paris runway in several styles of the Akris Ready-to-wear FW14/15 collection. Inspired by works of the German artist Thomas Ruff, Akris creative director Albert Kriemler implemented e-broidery® to transform a line of sophisticated evening wear and accessories into images of starry nightskies. Through textile interconnections and delicately designed circuit lines the pieces are powered by a hidden, small rechargeable battery.
The LED lights in combination with black rhinestones and subtle flowing lines herold a new dimension in the (Fashion)Universe.
